Paver Sanding FAQs

Question 01
When is SWFL paver re-sanding recommended?

Florida’s heavy rains and heat typically necessitate re-sanding every 3-5 years. Professional stabilization prevents structural shifting, weed growth, and sand washout, ensuring your pavers remain locked into place despite the harsh local climate conditions.

Question 02
Is old sand removed and new sand installed?

Absolutely. We deep clean the surface of the pavers along with the paver joints. We remove existing weeds, mold, algae, and debris. We then install high-quality Industry rated SEK joint sand. throughout the paver area.

Question 03
How much sand fills the joint?

We make sure the sand is 'hydrocompacted' and filling every paver joint to 1/4" below the chamfer or top of the paver. This allows for the sealer to fill the joint, soak into the sand and harden to create a strong, weed/water resistant barrier for many years to come!
